STRESS BUSTERS

I know most people had experienced how to be stressed,especially now that our economy is down. Stress may sometimes ruin our day and will make us moody to do things around and that's very disappointing because you can't act the way you want to act because somethings bothering you. How we truly overcome stress? As I was reading I found this & new ways to take tension taming to the next level STRESS BUSTERS:

1. GO FOR A WALK when tension strikes, you put on your sneakers and hit the pavement. You can also do self talk while you walk,in that way you probably know that walking walking lowers stress levels significantly because the exercise causes our bodies to release endorphins ( the brain chemicals that calm us).

2. WATCH DANCING WITH THE STARS. You forget your troubles by curling up on the couch to watch celebrities do tango and the cha-cha. Vegging out in front of a favorite TV show can distract you for a time but this escape from reality approach known as avoidance coping,offers no long-term stress reduction.

3.SPEND SOME TIME ALONE. Cooling off by your lonesome helps you clear your head and keeps you from lashing out at your husband or kids.

4. REACH FOR ICE CREAM. Nothing lulls you into a state of relaxation quite like a bowl of rocky road. There's a reason we feel an urge to reach for goodies high in fat and sugar when we're under stress. Eating these foods triggers the release of serotin, a feel good chemical, in the brain.

5. TIDY UP THE HOUSE. Your weapons of choice against stress are a vacuum and a to do list. Your home is often a metaphor for your life. Cleaning and putting stuff back where it belongs relieves tension by giving you a feeling of control and a sense of accomplishment.

6. TREAT YOURSELF TO SOME RETAIL THERAPY. Purchasing a pair of shoes calms every anxiety. Rewarding yourself during tense times, even with something as small as a new lipstick, can make you feel better. A massage is also a perfect example to indulged yourself. It relaxes muscles and lowers blood pressure and heart rate.

7. CONFIDE WITH A FRIEND. When you're feeling frazzled, you pick up the phone to gripe to a friend. Relaying the details of a stressful situation to a friend can be a comforting.
