Astounded

I was browsing the web and I was astounded by this image. Wow!..I never thought that there's such a thing as big as this but it does exist. Just imagine how much meat you will get from this fish..lol. I am not sure what kind of fish is it because I just grab the photo and wanted to share it to guys. But for sure it's edible I guess and boy by just looking at it, it seems so heavy. The fish is just as tall as the man underneath..Lol..I wonder if he could manage to breath with a huge fish on top of him..

Budgeting

Budgeting sometimes is very hard especially if you do not have enough money to cover everything. I experience this all the time and was just trying my best to caught up everything. It's hard though but that's all I can do. I try to pay our bills on time, although we end up no extra money anymore to do something for ourselves, it's fine as long as bills are paid off..lol..Well it's true, I prefer staying at home with my husband with a peace of mind from the notices you receive rather than go out of town and when you get back home notices are stock up..Hehehehehe..Oh well, our economic situation is really affecting everyone and all we can do is make the best out of it.

Getting Rid Of Rats Around The House

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Victor® Rodent Control. All opinions are 100% mine.

What do you feel when you see a rat? Scream, run or do you just totally ignore it? If it's me, I would definitely scream and at the same time I will run away. Rats are so annoying and they do not belong in the house, especially my house. To me, if a rat is living in my house, it must be because my house is dirty or because I live in the country. Either way my family is in danger. We all know that rats carry different diseases. Lately, I have been disturbed and alarmed by noises that I have heard coming from the attic. I was not sure what they were, til asked dad and he said that they were rats. Oh my God! I was getting goose bumps and having a hard time trying not to worry about it. I am pregnant right now and as a soon to be mom, I want to keep our place clean and safe for the coming baby and knowing that there are rats in the attic, it worries me and I am unsure of what to do about it. I know problems like this are not hard to solve with the help of some experts. And one of those experts is, Victor® Sonic PestChaser® PRO. They have the high tech tools to solve your problem with rats and mice. This is an ultrasonic repellent. Now you asked what this is, on how ultrasonic repellents work ? It is a highly effective method of controlling rats and mice. It creates a high frequency sound wave that drive rodents away from your home. Wow I have never heard one of this before and I am glad that they have created a very innovative tool in getting rid of rats and mice. Now I am a bit calm and more confident that we can solve this problem in our house before our baby girl is born. This is not just for her safety but for the rest of us as well. So make sure to rodent proof your home before it's too late.

The Good Wife

Oh my God I so love this show since it was aired on CBS 2 every Tuesday. Alicia is such a good actress and a junior associate as she portrait on the show. The show is the new hit drama on television right now. I really like her attitude though. A very strong, determined and smart woman. Here's some of the buzz..

Alicia Florrick is a good wife, but that doesn't mean she is never attracted to other men. With her cheating husband in jail for corruption, who could blame her if she indulges in a little flirting? In this episode, Alicia becomes attracted to her handsome co-counsel (Chris Bowers) and his unorthodox approach to their case, which is defending the daughter of one of the firm's partners.

Picture-26-468x306
I did it. I am so hooked with the latest trend on the internet right now. Well I am talking about Twitter. Everyone just keeps talking about twitter and I think every individual has on account on twitter already..Lol..But anyway, I like twitting because it gives me an update on the latest happening around the globe. It also lets me reconnect with my long lost friends too which amazes me and stay connected with them on web. But there is also a huge twist on twitter though. I mean, you are not only reconnecting with friends, following your favorite artist, brag about something you are very proud of, but at the same time you can earn some money out of it too. Yes, you heard it right. IZEA a very well know company is sponsoring twitters and helping them monetize their tweets. Isn't that amazing? You are making money on your hard work and being a twitter. That's why I said, I did it on my earlier post because I did sign up for sponsored tweets as soon as I've heard about it. This was launched by SponsoredTweets.com an online marketplace that allows everyone to connect directly with advertisers to engage in sponsored conversations through Twitter. Advertisers will compensate you with cash in exchange for a sponsored tweet. Isn't that a good deal? Oh I would love to tweet every second of the day. All you have to do to get started is to set your price, add a category and some keywords then wait for offers to roll in from Advertisers. After which you can choose an offer. As offer starts rolling in, you can either accept it or reject it. If you accept an offer, your account will be credited within 24 hours of your tweet then you can cash out once your account reaches $50. That's just it. Very fast, very easy and you'll get good money out of it. Register now!

Excitement, Nervous,Mixed Feeling

Lately I have been experiencing this "uncomfortable" feeling. Well part of pregnancy I guess. I experienced a very mild to dull abdominal pain. Back pain which is very annoying at times. I think I am experiencing this so called " Braxton Hicks" right now. Oh well, I just have to deal with it but sometimes it just so frustrating because I am not use to it and the feeling of not being comfortable makes it so hard for me to do things around the house. Wheewww! I am on my 7th month of pregnancy now and things are really getting closer. I am excited at same time nervous. Well not only me though but my husband as well. I am excited because soon we will be able to hold and see our little one. I am nervous because I have lots of questions running around my mind. Lots of "what if" are build up everyday..lol.. Can I do it? What's the feeling when your there? Can we survive? Wheewww! Those are just some of the questions though. But I will do my very best on the day that I will deliver our baby. I also have this feeling or should I say "mother's instinct" that I will deliver our baby sooner than my due date. My doctor said that my due is on February 9, 2010 but I think I will deliver our baby around 3rd week of January or last week of January. I don't know but I just have that feeling though. Well, we just have to wait. I am also praying that my husband could make it on the day I deliver. What I mean by that is, he works offshore and most of the time they are in Texas which is 10 hours drive to get to the hospital..wheewww that's quite a long drive for him and I know he wants to be there with me so bad and so I am. I know God will let the two of us experience the greatest gift our lives, our baby girl. We are really excited seeing her soon.

Commemorating The Veterans Day

Today, we are celebrating the day for the Veterans. But what's really the history of Veterans Day?

It was known as "the War to end all Wars". The first world war is considered today as the event which has had the greatest social and political impact in the annals of human history. It has been estimated that more than 61.5 million soldiers from all nations took part in the war, of which 8.5 million were killed, 12.5 million received recoverable injuries, and 7 million were permanently injured. The United States, which entered the war late, suffered among the fewest losses, at approximately 116,000. Nevertheless, the impact the war had upon Americans was great. President Wilson, who boasted that he would keep the United States out of the war, shocked the country with his request for war. November 11, 1918 marked the official end of the war. One year later, President Wilson proclaimed November 11, 1919, as "Armistice Day". It was the first nationwide commemoration of the war. On November 11, 1920, England laid to rest an unknown soldier in Westminster Abbey, a way to commemorate their losses in the war. France had carried a similar act the same year at the Arc de Triomphe. On November 11, 1921, the United States followed-up...Read More

Britney Spears in Australian 'lip-synching row'

When she arrived in the country last week, a Sydney newspaper ran a front-page story complaining that Spears would not be singing live during 15 two-hour concerts on her tour. The issue set online comment boards alight with indignation, and Virginia Judge, the New South Wales minister for Fair Trading, poured further fuel on the fire by saying Australians would not tolerate a "Mickey Mouse" performance by Spears. Ms Judge even suggested that concert tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of concerts were pre-recorded and mimed. Then came reports that scores of fans had "stormed out" of the Perth performance, angry that the star was miming. Fans reportedly said the stage show was "boring", "stiff", and "lacklustre". The furore has incensed Paul Dainty, Spears's tour promoter. "It's the biggest lie I've ever heard. I'm so angry," he told the Australian newspaper. "We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly – that's something you have to live with – but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication." Dainty said Spears had been traumatised by the negative coverage. "Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting." Dainty said it was incorrect to suggest that fans had stormed out of the show as early as the third song after paying between $200 to $1,500 to see the 27-year-old singer who has rebuilt her career after a high-profile meltdown. Before her world tour started in March to promote her sixth studio album, Spears had only done a handful of live concerts in recent years as her personal life ran out of control. This included stints in psychiatric care, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons and shaving her head. Dainty said it was well known that part of the Spears concert was lip-synched and blasted any inference that this was hidden. "It's been all over the internet for nine months," he said. "This show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is." Spears' manager Adam Leber took to Spears' Twitter account to defend the singer to her 3.7 million followers. "Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did." he wrote. The management from the Burswood Dome in Perth, where Spears' show was staged, told local reporters that they had not received any complaints from the 17,000 people who were at the show. A similar number attended Spears' show the next night as well. Thousands of fans flooded Spears' personal website and Twitter to congratulate her on her comeback, describing her Perth performances as "amazing", "awesome" and "brilliant". The tour continues in Melbourne on Wednesday.

What Pregnant Women Need To Know About Swine Flu - Risks, Statistics, Prevention and Vaccination

This was sent to my email and I would like to share this to everyone especially to all pregnant women.

A pregnant woman who suspects that she might have swine flu should call or see her doctor immediately. In fact the CDC even advises that pregnant women should call their doctor if they've been in close contact with anyone who has swine flu.

Facts about Swine Flu in Pregnant Women

  • Up until mid-October 2009, 6% of swine flu related deaths in the US have been in pregnant women.
  • Pregnant women have also been hospitalized more as a result of swine flu compared to the general population.
  • Pregnant women given seasonal flu shots in a recent study passed the positive effects of immunization to their unborn child, significantly reducing flu sickness in babies younger than 6 months.
  • The new H1N1 vaccine for pregnant women is currently undergoing trials to determine its safety. So far flu shots have not been deemed harmful for pregnant women.

Why are Pregnant Women at Higher Risk from Swine Flu?

Pregnant women are a high-risk group for swine flu complications because the illness may cause complications such as pneumonia and premature labor. A woman's immune system may be somewhat weakened during pregnancy, making her more susceptible to illness in general. And anything that causes a pregnant woman distress may ultimately cause fetal distress as well.

How Can Pregnant Women Prevent Getting Swine Flu?

The precautions for pregnant women are the same as for the rest of the population. The top things to do for prevention are:

  • Regularly and thoroughly wash hands
  • Avoid contact with people infected with swine flu
  • Get a flu shot

Are Swine Flu Vaccinations Safe for Pregnant Women?

The first step in swine flu prevention is protection. Pregnant women can significantly reduce their chances of contracting swine flu by getting an annual flu shot. Flu shots for the current strain of the H1N1 flu virus are expected to be available by October 2009 for the flu season lasting through February 2010.

Pregnant women should consult with their doctor to schedule a flu shot as soon as one becomes available in their region. The CDC advises pregnant women to get two vaccinations: a seasonal flu shot combined with the H1N1 (swine flu causing) flu shot. Taken together they are more effective in protecting pregnant women and their fetus from flu-like illness. Both flu shots are regarded as safe for pregnant women to take.

What Should Pregnant Women Do if They Have Swine Flu?

The best course of action for an infected pregnant woman is to stay at home, avoid infecting others, and call or see her doctor right away. The doctor will most likely put her on anti-viral medication such as Tamiflu or Relenza. If she has a fever, she can take acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol). A typical course of anti-viral medication runs for 5 days and can be taken anytime during pregnancy. It has not shown to have any harmful effects on the growing fetus.

We're Having A Baby Girl

I have not posted this one yet but I had my OBGYN's appointment last October 26, 2009. They did a sonogram for the baby gender. The husband was there as well as my mother in law. The result was were having a baby girl..Whheeeeh!..So exciting and it get's me more excited when I see the excitement of my husband about the baby. I love watching him when he talk to the baby. I love watching him when he buy stuff for the baby and I love the feeling that my behalf is very excited..Our baby's name would be " Adelie Mae Erro Eaton". My hubby love my name so he wanted to use it on our baby's name which is fine with me. In fact "Adelie" is my grandmother's name. I was named after her because I was the first born child of the only boy in the family which is my father. "Mae comes from my husband's side. It is the middle name of his mom's side and been used from generations to generations. "Erro" is my family name when I was still single. Here in the states it uncommon to have two names but to our baby we will be following the filipino tradition which happen to be the middle name of the mother's maiden name.

Here is a Swine Flu Update: Makes sense to keep in mind.

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at using a Neti pot, but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton swabs dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C. *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Mafia War on Facebook

My husband is so hooked with Facebook now specifically Mafia Wars. He likes the game as soon as I introduced it to him. At first I just let him play with Farm Town and Farm Ville but he got bored with and now Mafia war is really his game. He is having fun with and he even had his brother hooked to it too..lol
