  • iPad is the best way to experience the web. View whole pages in portrait or landscape on the large Multi-Touch screen. And let your fingers do the surfing.
  • There’s nothing like the Mail app on iPad. With a split-screen view and expansive onscreen keyboard, it lets you see and touch your email in ways you never could before.
  • A vivid LED-backlit IPS display makes viewing photos on iPad extraordinary. Open albums with a tap. Flip through your pictures one by one. Or play a slideshow and share your photos.

  • With the YouTube app designed specifically for iPad, videos are even easier to find. And on the amazing iPad display, they’re more fun to watch. Especially in HD.
  • Reach out and touch your songs. View your album art full-size. iPad makes music look as good as it sounds.
  • Millions of songs, thousands of movies and TV shows, and so much more. Browsing and buying are just a tap away.
These are just some of the features of an iPad. Like me for sure you will love it too.

Microsoft bets on Windows success

Speaking at the official launch of Windows 7 in London, Microsoft executives said they had listened to consumers and delivered a more streamlined, feature-packed system. It follows widespread criticism of predecessor Vista. Windows 7 faces stiff competition from rival operating systems and new ways of storing applications. In the UK, the software giant will tie up with Sky to offer its on-demand Sky Player service. It will allow consumers to watch a range of live and on-demand TV programmes via the Windows Media Center, which is included in most editions of Windows 7. Microsoft's UK managing director Ashley Highfield said Windows 7 marked a "new dawn in Microsoft's relationship with the consumer". "Windows 7 is much more than a collection of new features. We have listened to what consumers want and they want something that makes their lives easier," said Mr Highfield. The operating system has already been in beta testing among eight million official users, and a farther seven million unofficial testers have also used it. The software giant used one billion data sessions to find out how people navigate with Windows; information such as how many times people visit the start menu - around 12 times per session - and how many windows they have open at any one time - between two and seven is the average. So far Windows 7 seems to have had a good reception. According to electrical retailer DSGi, which includes UK high street brands PC World and Currys, there have been more people buying pre-ordered copies of Windows 7 in the last three weeks than for the whole first year of Vista sales. "It hasn't taken Microsoft to hype it up, the blogosphere is saying it is a good product," said Jeremy Fennel, a director at DSGi. Some 60% of consumers surveyed by DSGi said they were holding off buying a new PC or laptop until Windows 7 was launched. Often-used applications can be dragged into the taskbar and users can view a thumbnail shot of all the windows they have open. Microsoft has acknowledged that the Windows pop-ups that interrupt users are "rude". With Windows 7 users can customise how and when they view such pop-ups. There is also a feature that allows users to "snap" two windows together to make reading and comparing easier and a facility that allows all open windows to be minimised at the shake of a mouse. The software giant has decreased the amount of time the system takes to boot up and has improved battery life and reduced memory - an acknowledgment that many people will want to use Windows on laptops rather than desktops. For Internet Explorer 8, which is installed in the new operating system, there are improved security features including Smart Screen Filtering, which intercepts suspicious downloads and warns users that they are unsafe. There are also offered improved services in add-ons such as Windows Live Photo Gallery and Movie Maker. Windows still runs on 90% of the world's computers but it is a internet-dominated landscape that Windows 7 enters. It has led commentators to suggest that Windows is becoming an irrelevance. More and more applications are being written for so-called cloud computing - which supports popular apps such as web-based email and social networks in data centres rather than on individual computers. It is an area Microsoft is keen to exploit and last year it unveiled its own cloud computing service called Azure, dubbed "Windows for the cloud". Windows also faces stiff competition from free operating systems, such as the Linux-based Ubunto system which launches its newest version next week and arch-rival Google's Chrome OS. Many though remain loyal to the Microsoft universe and for those wishing to upgrade from Vista, the software giant has promised a "seamless" experience. It acknowledged that upgrades from older operating systems might be "more difficult." "XP has been on the market for ten years so we recommend that people wait until they are ready to purchase a new PC or do a clean install," said Julie Larson-Green, Microsoft's vice president of user experience. Some experts cautioned against rushing out and buying it. John Bogue, from Which? Computing, said: "Software bugs are par the course for newly released programs, and operating systems are no exception. Unless you like downloading patches and updates, we recommend waiting a year." The home edition of Windows 7 is available in the UK for £79.99 until 1 January. After that it will cost £99.99.

It is very disturbing for me when this circumstances occur because I work from home and being out of access in my computer for how many days has s huge effect on my work. It is more hassle to me when I sent it out for repair and pay an extra buck from the damage occur. A friend of mine told me that I can do it on my own and it is not really hard to recover my operating system. High Tech Facility

I am working from home and do all my work in my computer. I do a lot of typing, printing, scanning and everything like that. But sometimes I am not satisfied with the outcome of my work. Well, maybe the facilities that I have is not that advanced to do my job perfectly. I have been wanting to own a high technology facility that makes my work a lot more easier and a lot more visible to my clients when I present it to them. Just like my scanner, it is not really a high powered scanner that captures every object or every details of an object that I am working at. I want something that has data capture systems that could bring a great presentation to any objects I scan. I also want something for my business to where I could organize things properly. So that I won't end up losing some files for the clients and files for myself. It is so tough if I lose something important and my facilities are not that reliable to do another job. I feel so disappointed sometimes. What I really need for my files is a document management software, where I can save all my files, well organize and protected. And anytime I need it, I know where to pull it out.

Calling Earth from the Air: world release of green movie 'Home'

PARIS (AFP) – World Environment Day on Friday sees the worldwide release of a movie billed by producers as "the greatest green event ever", a high-budget documentary to save the planet from Yann Arthus-Bertrand. From New York's Central Park to the Champs de Mars by Paris' Eiffel Tower, the French photographer known for the "Earth From The Air" books and "Seen From The Air" on TV, is releasing the green-awareness movie "Home" in over 100 countries simultaneously. "More than a movie, Home will be a major event," the producers said. Shot from the air in a chopper, the environmental documentary will be available across the globe June 5, mostly free of charge, in open-air spaces as well as theatres, TV, DVD, and the Internet at www.youtube.com/homeproject. "The idea is to explain what's happening to the planet by beginning at the beginning, by the miracle of life on earth," the photographer-director told AFP. Kicking off with stunning aerial views of the earth's natural wonders before focusing from the air on polluting factories, airfields and oil platforms, the message translated into more than a score of languages is: "It's too late to be a pessimist." "Although there's a general trend towards an awareness of ecological issues, concrete action is still too little, too slow," he says. "In 200,000 years on earth," adds the film, "humanity has upset the balance of the planet. Humanity has barely 10 years to reverse the trend. The commentary, narrated by Glenn Close in English and Salma Hayek in Spanish, was submitted for editing to 2007 Nobel-prizewinner Al Gore and Lester Brown, the US environmental guru. It took almost three years to finalise the mega-movie, shot over 217 days in 54 countries, providing 488 hours of footage. "We have the power to change so what are we waiting for?" it asks. French movie mogul Luc Besson is distributing the 10-million-euro movie, a huge sum for a documentary put up by the luxury consortium PPR headed by Francois Henri Pinault. "The massive and free distribution of the film will enable anyone, anywhere, to see it, whatever their income," Pinault said. Speaking to AFP, Arthus-Bertrand said it was time to call a halt to a world where 20 percent of the population consumed 80 percent of the planet's riches. "I explain what is happening, I don't offer solutions," he said. "But we all have solutions within ourselves." "We would live better by consuming less and sharing more, and we need more courageous policies". "The idea is to convince people to push politicians to action."

Keep your pet safe

My husband and I has a little chihuahua dog. He is so cute, sweet and smart. We love him so much and we will give everything to him as much as we can. In short he is very spoiled. Well, we can't helped it because maybe we don't have a child yet. We always make it sure that he gets his proper nutrition. He goes to his vet regularly and taking his pills regularly. We want to keep him healthy and avoid any sickness. Being so protective to our little one is our top priority and my husband and I were so glad knowing something that we can use to keep him more safe and guarded all the time. This is the petsafe wireless fence. This is a kind of gadget that sends a signal to a collar that your dog wears. As your dog nears a defined boundary, the collar issues a warning tone. If he/she proceeds further, he/she receives a safe but annoying stimulation that deters his/her from leaving your boundary. No wires to bury, and completely portable. Amazing! This is exactly want we want for him. Have yours too!

Gmail in real-time: Google does the Wave

Google is ready to start talking about its answer to demand for real-time--yet organized--Internet communication. Later on Thursday, Google plans to publicly demonstrate Google Wave for the first time at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Billed as "the e-mail of the future," Google Wave is the result of a multiyear project inside of Google to reinvent the inbox, blending e-mail, instant messaging, photo sharing, and perhaps, with input from developers, connections to the world of social networking. Google Wave is an attempt to "combine conversation-type communication and collaboration-type communication," said Lars Rasmussen, who launched the project with his brother Jens after Google acquired their mapping start-up in 2004. The brothers Rasmussen said they were inspired by the fact that two of the most commonly used Internet communication technologies--e-mail and instant messaging--are based on relatively ancient offline communication techniques, namely the letter and the telephone. The Rasmussens were given the authority to create "one of the most autonomous independent groups we've had at Google," said co-founder Sergey Brin in a press conference following the demonstration. Given the success the brothers had in developing the technologies behind Google Maps, Brin was inclined to "give them the benefit of the doubt" when Lars came to him pitching a bid to reinvent Internet communication. They came up with Google Wave, which organizes Internet discussions in the trendy stream of consciousness fashion. It's a little bit Twitter, a little bit Friendfeed, and a little bit Facebook all in one service, allowing you to send direct messages to online contacts with real-time replies, share photos or documents, and add or delete members of the conversation as needed. In that sense, it's not a completely public discussion, nor a completely private one. A user creates a "wave" by typing a message or uploading photos and adding contacts to the wave as they see fit. Other contacts can be added later, and those people can add other contacts to the wave unless the original wave starter forbids new entrants. "Each person that we show it too, something different resonates as useful" to their way of communicating on the Internet, said Stephanie Hannon, project manager for Google Wave. At the moment, the functionality is somewhat limited, but Google is introducing Google Wave at its developer conference for a reason: "a lot of this depends on developer uptake," Rasmussen said. The company will release APIs (application programming interfaces) at the conference so that developers can start testing how to build Wave into their own sites, or how to integrate their services with Google's. Google envisions three types of developer projects using Wave. The first is the most obvious; using Wave as a gateway for conversations that you're already having elsewhere on Twitter, Friendfeed, Facebook, blogs, and other social media sites. There are plenty of reasons for Google to try to tap into the "stickiness" of various social networks, where users spend obscene amounts of time. And the company thinks that services such as Twitter recognize the value of letting others build a front end into their services: there are dozens of Twitter apps for PCs and smartphones that grant such access without having to use Twitter's own front end, and those apps don't seem to have put much of a dent in Twitter's overall traffic. For starters, Google Wave will allow users to post new items to blogs created with Blogger from within a wave, and see comments and replies within a wave. The second category involves creating applications that run within a wave, similar to how developers have used Facebook as a platform to create all sorts of applications. Collaborative games are expected to be among the first applications to appear within Google Wave. Lastly, Google wants developers to think of Wave as a possible enhancement to an existing workflow within an enterprise. The example Rasmussen used was a bug tracker used by software developers to identify and assign bugs. Bugs could be organized in waves; participants post the new bug to a global wave, then the team leader can assign bugs to individual team members within the wave, and developers can comment on their fix for a particular bug as they are tackled and cleared, all within the same thread. The software has a long way to go: Google is releasing it as a developer preview on Thursday, and is actively looking for feedback on how it can improve. Sometime later this year Google expects to release it to the general public, but Rasmussen would not commit to a more specific timeframe. Google also plans to open-source the format at the heart of Google Wave as a protocol in order to let developers build their own waves. The company has not determined the license that will be used to open-source the code, Rasmussen said. Developer feedback will be crucial toward gauging the impact of Google Wave in a marketplace crowded with similar ideas. For months, Google has been pressed with inquiries about whether or not it plans to buy companies like Twitter or others that specialize in real-time Internet communication, and thus far, the company has demurred.

Do you know this?

Computer-virus infections don't cause your machine to crash anymore.

Nowadays, the criminals behind the infections usually want your computer operating in top form so you don't know something's wrong. That way, they can log your keystrokes and steal any passwords or credit-card numbers you enter at Web sites, or they can link your infected computer with others to send out spam.

Here are some signs your computer is infected, tapped to serve as part of "botnet" armies run by criminals:

• You experience new, prolonged slowdowns. This can be a sign that a malicious program is running in the background.

• You continually get pop-up ads that you can't make go away. This is a sure sign you have "adware," and possibly more, on your machine.

• You're being directed to sites you didn't intend to visit, or your search results are coming back funky. This is another sign that hackers have gotten to your machine.

So what do you do?

• Having anti-virus software here is hugely helpful. For one, it can identify known malicious programs and disable them. If the virus that has infected your machine isn't detected, many anti-virus vendors offer a service in which they can remotely take over your computer and delete the malware for a fee.

• Some anti-virus vendors also offer free, online virus-scanning services.

• You may have to reinstall your operating system if your computer is still experiencing problems. It's a good idea even if you believe you've cleaned up the mess because malware can still be hidden on your machine. You will need to back up your files before you do this.

How do I know what information has been taken?

• It's very hard to tell what's been taken. Not every infection steals your data. Some just serve unwanted ads. Others poison your search result or steer you to Web sites you don't want to see. Others log your every keystroke. The anti-virus vendors have extensive databases about what the known infections do and don't do. Comparing the results from your virus scans to those entries will give you a good idea about what criminals may have snatched up.

As you can see on the picture it's a camera but it's not just an ordinary camera because it is a security camera. As we all know this is a very helpful tool whether for business use or for personal use. I have seen a lot of stories on how helpful a security camera is. Just like what I saw on the news the other day, three guys robbed one resident somewhere in Los Angeles and they were caught in less than a month since the incident happened because of the built in security camera that they have. Some people may say, it's a waste of money but it is really a necessity to have. Secure your safety now before it's too late.
