Being a mom is very challenging. It is a learning process everyday. When I got pregnant with our daughter, I was a bit nervous but excited. Of course, as a first time mom you do not what to do because of the lack of experience. But it was very amazing when I gave birth to our daughter, I just knew everything to do. I think it is an instinct for every mother that they know what to do right away.
Having a baby has a lot of preparations to do. It is very important to have a bunch of small baby blankets stock up before your baby is even born. It is also important that baby bedding is also in your list. They are very handy when your precious little one is born. This things are such life savers for first time mom like me.
And also, having a baby is also equal to baby gifts. That's right people you know just keep sending gifts for your little one. I think it is already a tradition. Everyone is just so excited for the upcoming baby and a new member. But from all the preparations and everything, all will be worth it the moment you see and hold you little one.
Life is so wonderful and full of joy in each day that we live. Have fun and enjoy the true meaning of life together with your loved ones and friends because it is a gift from God to treasure.

Bonding With Lexie
Bonding with Lexie. This was when we had company one day and it was one of our church member Ms. Karen with her grand daughter. The girls had a blast. They played and talk on their own language..LOL. I took this picture because it is so cute. Mae was riding on her toy while Lexie was pushing it. They sure had a blast that day.

Our 2 months old baby
She loved her swing. She could sleep for hours on the swing. Just make sure the music is on and it is swinging or else she's not happy with it..Lol..We are so proud with her because she sleeps longer at night now. In the morning she would wake up every 2-3 hours to eat and change her diapers but when it comes to bedtime she could sleep for 5-6 hours straight. I'm glad she's able to manage her sleep during the night now, then momma could get some sleep too..Hehehehehe..That's it for now. Have a good one everyone!

Proud Parents
I just want to share the things that our precious little one could as early as 2 weeks old. As I've mentioned, she could roll on her side now and she pretty liked this position. She feels so comfortable when she's lying on her side.

My baby's growth and development
I want to share my baby's development. She is 13 days old now and growing. My husband and I were very surprise on her growth and development. On her first week, she was able to lift her head by herself. We are so impressed and proud parents because our child has a fast growth and development. On her second week, she starts rolling on her side already. Oh I am so proud of my baby. I can also see that she is gaining weight because she is getting heavier whenever I am holding her. I am just worried though because we just started giving her some formula milk aside from breastfeeding as a supplement to give her enough milk. Doing so had her having a hard time pooping. Oh I hope my baby's bowel movement goes back to normal and hopefully her digestive system will get use to formula already.

Busy Parents
It has been so busy lately around the house. Since we got back from the hospital, the baby is the center of attention. She is doing pretty good. She eat well, sleep well and very healthy according to her pediatrician this morning. Our baby is so precious and we enjoy every second that we spend with her. My sleeping routine had totally changed. I am not complaining though because I love being a mom and spending every minute with my child is all worth it. I am so thankful with husband because he is so supportive and always there to help me. Yes he is still at home because he requested for another 2 weeks off from work. I just miss our time together though. One night I cried because I just miss the "alone" time we have. Well this must be the rules of becoming a parent/s and I know he understand. I just make it a point that we still have time for each other especially when the baby is asleep.Addie Mae is 8 days old today and as I've mentioned above she had her doctors appointment today. Her doctor said that she's very healthy and doing great. She gained few ounces in weeks time which is great and we are happy about that. We enjoyed our baby's growth so much. She can now lift her head by her own at an early stage. Every time she throw a smile, it is very precious. We are so looking forward to our baby's growth everyday.

Exercising During Pregnancy
Since my D-Day is fast approaching, I become aware with the recommended pregnancy exercises. I think it's a bit late but oh well I can still do it anyway..Lol..Honestly, I am very lazy when it comes to do some exercise. I think the only exercise that I have during this pregnancy is going to the mailbox and get the mail..LOL! I know it is necessary for me and the baby but sometimes I just don't feel like doing it, especially with the weather now,Oh my! could hardly stand outside for a long time. My first trimister was very rough, my second trimister was okay and I am on my third trimister now which is a bit hard to move around. I won't promise though but I will get my butt to do some exercise til my D-day comes. I know my husband will laugh at me about this because his been telling me to at least move around which I did for quite sometimes..Lol..I did some reading on the web and found some interesting topic about pregnancy exercises. I even play a video from youtube from a pregnant lady doing her routine exercise. That was amazing and it really helps a lot I guess. This is what I've found out on the article that I was reading a while ago.
Benefits of Exercising During Pregnancy
No doubt about it, exercise is a big plus for both you and your baby (if complications don't limit your ability to exercise throughout your pregnancy). It can help you:
- feel better. At a time when you wonder if this strange body can possibly be yours, exercise can increase your sense of control and boost your energy level. Not only does it make you feel better by releasing endorphins (naturally occurring chemicals in your brain), appropriate exercise can:
- relieve backaches and improve your posture by strengthening and toning muscles in your back, butt, and thighs
- reduce constipation by accelerating movement in your intestine
- prevent wear and tear on your joints (which become loosened during pregnancy due to normal hormonal changes) by activating the lubricating fluid in your joints
- help you sleep better by relieving the stress and anxiety that might make you restless at night
- look better. Exercise increases the blood flow to your skin, giving you a healthy glow.
- prepare you and your body for birth. Strong muscles and a fit heart can greatly ease labor and delivery. Gaining control over your breathing can help you manage pain. And in the event of a lengthy labor, increased endurance can be a real help.
- regain your pre-pregnancy body more quickly. You'll gain less fat weight during your pregnancy if you continue to exercise (assuming you exercised before becoming pregnant). But don't expect or try to lose weight by exercising while you're pregnant. For most women, the goal is to maintain their fitness level throughout pregnancy.

OBGYN's Appointment
I just had my OB/GYN's appointmet today and everything went well on my check up. The baby is doing just fine. Got to hear her heartbeat today too. I am happy to hear that. On my next appointment, she's gonna do the group B strep test. I think she's doing a vaginal examine so I have to prepare for that..Lol.. After that appointment, Ill be check weekly. Wow! that fast and D-day is really getting closer and closer. I am getting real anxious and real excited now. I only gained a pound since my last appointment. Oh well! That's what happen today guys!

Christmas At The Church
We had a great Christmas dinner at the church last night. Everyone was there and were sharing their best Christmas ever. I didn't get to tell mine because I got shy but to me, most of my Christmases are memorable especially when I met my husband, that was the most wonderful gift I've ever had and the best thing ever happen to me. And this years Christmas is a lot more meaningful for both of us because we are expecting our first child. She is very precious to us and can't wait to see her soon.Everyone at the church had so much fun last night. The foods were great as usual and everyone just gathered up and chit chat. After our dinner we also had a baby shower for Ms. Karen's daughter. She was so surprised and so thankful of what the church did. But that's all Christmas is all about. Sharing and giving. I will be next in line on this baby shower thing..Hehehehe..I am excited at the same time anxious for this pregnancy to be over and see our baby..
Have a blessed Christmas everyone!

Your Pregnancy - 18 Weeks
How your baby's growing:Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound. How your life's changing:
Hungry? An increase in appetite is pretty common about now. Make it count by choosing meals and snacks that are rich in nutrients instead of empty calories (chips, French fries, candy, and other sweets). Bigger, more comfortable clothes are a must now as your appetite and waistline grow. Your cardiovascular system is undergoing dramatic changes, and during this trimester your blood pressure will probably be lower than usual. Don't spring up too fast from a lying or sitting position or you might feel a little dizzy. From now on, when you do lie down, it's best to lie on your side — or at least partly tilted to one side. (When you lie flat on your back, your uterus can compress a major vein, leading to decreased blood return to your heart.) Try placing a pillow behind you or under your hip or upper leg for comfort. If you haven't already had a second-trimester ultrasound, you'll probably have one soon. This painless procedure helps your practitioner check how your baby's growing, screen for certain birth defects, check the placenta and umbilical cord, determine whether the due date you're working with is accurate, and see how many babies you're carrying. During the exam, you might see your baby moving around or sucking his thumb. Bring your partner along, and be sure to ask for a printout for your baby's first photo album!

16th Week Pregnant

I am on my 16th week in my pregnancy. It is getting closer and closer for us to know the gender of our little one. As I have read on the book I am reading, on this stage the baby starts moving now but could barely feel his/her kick or movements. I am excited though but I don't really know what's the feeling of the baby kicking...Hehehehehe..I am sorry this is my first pregnancy and everything is new to me. It is very exciting but at the same time it is also scary though. I don't that must be the normal feeling when you're pregnant. But we can't wait to see our little one on the day that I will deliver him/her.

Online Shopping
Women in all ages loves to shop. Not just for themselves but to their love ones as well. To tell you honestly, I am not fun of shopping. To me it's tiring but I do have collections in my personal belongings which are shoes and purses. I love buying those. With clothing, I also love collecting it.
Now, I am 13 weeks pregnant and collecting baby clothes is one of my favorite thing to do. I am so fascinated seeing the different designs and colors of the baby clothes online and I am always tempted to buy it. We don't know the gender of our baby yet but hopefully 6 weeks from now because I can't wait to prepare all the things our baby need when he/she gets here. As future parents, we want the best for our baby. We want to make sure that we get the right stuff for our baby.
Having said so, I found a website to buy the things we need. Not just for our baby but also for us parents too. I found a shopping website for kids stuff, men and women's clothing, shoes, handbags and a lot more. Name it and they have it. They provide what everybody need. I feel very confident when I visited their website because I know I will get the right baby for our baby and for us. I will definitely shop with Zappos.com as soon as we know our baby's gender. Check it out!
